Crokinole

Crokinole is a classic tabletop game that combines elements of shuffleboard, curling, and billiards. Typically played on a circular wooden board with a shallow center hole, the objective is to flick small wooden pucks toward the middle to score points while knocking opponents' discs out of scoring zones. It’s a fast-paced, strategic game suitable for one to four players, blending precision with fun competition. Crokinole is easy to learn but offers deep mastery, making it popular for casual play and competitive tournaments alike.

Gameplay

In Crokinole, players take turns shooting their pucks towards the board’s center hole, or towards an opponents’ puck if there is one in play.  To shoot, move your puck into a valid shooting location, activate shooting mode, and then pull back on your puck to indicate the direction and power of your shot.

If an opponents’ puck is on the board and you do not strike it, your puck and any of your pucks that were moved are taken off the board.  If your puck lands in the center hole, it is worth 20 points and is immediately placed in your 20s holder to be saved for scoring at the end of the round.  Some boards feature four additional holes within the 10 ring that count as negative 10 points.  Like 20s, these are removed immediately and count against your score for the round.  Pucks must be completely flat within the 20 or the negative 10 holes.

Once all pucks have been shot, scoring takes place based on the position of the pucks on the board.  Depending on the scoring method selected, game play continues until one player or team obtains, or exceeds 100 points.  If four rounds have been played and 100 points have not been obtained by either player or team, a fifth round is played to determine the winner of the match.
